As a proud community advocate with over 9 years of volunteer experience, I have truly enjoyed being involved in the cultivation and creation of community. My passion for service drives my dedication to various organizations that support my efforts. My educational background and professional experience have further equipped me to make a positive impact in the community.
WHO IS JOSH?

Josh, a dedicated community advocate, attended TMA and Utt before graduating from Beckman High School in 2022.
Current Student
Josh is a History and Political Science major at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, where he is building a strong educational background. His aspirations include earning a social science teaching credential and possibly pursuing graduate education in school counseling, all while developing his skills as a community leader through relevant professional experience.
Community involvement
Josh's interest in public service began at age 9, when he wrote a letter to the Mayor of Tustin. As a result, he got a tour of city hall and got to meet personally with the Mayor at that time.
Josh has been a dedicated volunteer with the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department for 9 years. During his professional experience with the city, he was selected to serve on both the Tustin Street Fair and Chili Cook Off and Tustin Tiller Days Committees.
In 2020, he was nominated by the City of Tustin to receive the CA Parks and Recreation Society's Volunteer Merit Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the community.
Additionally, he has become more involved with the Miss Tustin Scholarship Association, where he lends his support at their events and was proud to participate as a "Mr. Tustin" contestant in 2024, showcasing his commitment to both the community and his educational background.
Professional Experience
Right out of high school, Josh began his journey in education as an Elementary School Physical Education Coach for the Irvine Unified School District. His educational background provided a solid foundation as he transitioned to a role as a special education paraeducator working with middle school students in Tustin Unified School District (TUSD). Additionally, Josh gained valuable professional experience during his two years as a substitute paraeducator within Tustin Unified, where he served a variety of student populations and classifications.
